The precious thoughts God has revealed to us in His Holy Word (Psalm 139v17) are essential to us…we are totally dependent on them. We are dependent on them because they are our only light in the darkness of this fallen world (Psalm 119v105). We are dependent on them because in our fallen state, the way that truly seems right to us, will lead us only to death (Proverbs 14v12). Thankfully, He has not left us without help and without hope (Isaiah 55 vv1ff). Rather, He has graciously promised and provided all we need in His written Word…in His living Word, the Lord, Jesus Christ. As a result, our dependence becomes our delight…by His grace, and for His glory.
