"How precious are Your thoughts to me, O God!"
Does your soul resonate with that of the psalmist, David, as he makes this Spirit-inspired declaration in Psalm 139v17a? Are God’s thoughts truly precious to you?
I invite you to join me from time to time for some “thoughts along the way” as together we reflect on the text of Sacred Scripture, considering the precious thoughts God has revealed to us in His Holy Word.

thoughts along the way
...thoughts from Psalm 119v105...
When you read the Bible, Sacred Scripture, the Word of God, do you read it because you find it interesting? ...informative? ...helpful? It is, indeed, all of these things, but it is far more.
The Psalmist, writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, declares that the Word of God is both a lamp to his feet and a light to his path. Properly understood, the Word of God is not simply interesting, and informative, or even helpful. Rather, it is absolutely essential.
The open question is, can we honestly say the same thing? Do we read the Word of God as if we absolutely need the Word of God?
